Yay! So Spring has finally sprung upon us…well so we hope. Is it just me, or has this past winter been way too long and miserable. All I’ve wanted to do is come home from work and climb into my pj’s with a book or catch up on series. Time for that to change…With Spring in the air I am looking forward summer fashion, picnics , wine tasting, road trips and days spent on the beach.
As two of my close friends will be tying the knot in December, and I have been honoured to be a bridesmaid in both weddings, the next few months will be filled with wedding planning, dress fittings, hair & make-up trials, bridal showers & bachelorette nights. Oh the joys of being a bridesmaid. I am too looking forward to having a great party at Rocking the Daisies in October and seeing The kooks live for a second time. I am still waiting for the announcement of The Arctic Monkeys…aaarg!!
So this is me stepping out of my miserable winter slump!
Happy Spring everyone!

So, I have to confess that I am not the biggest fan of the OTP award ceremonies, but who doesn’t love oogling over the red carpet. Other than crazy Miley, here are some of my favourite looks…

The colder days are slowly creeping in. As I am a complete Summer Girl; Sinusitis, icy cold hands and feet, I cannot help to feel the urge to go into early hibernation= DEPRESSION!! All I can imagine right now is to curl up underneath a snug blanket with a mug of hot chocolate with a book or watching a movie…or two. Waking up for work before the sun rises should be the biggest crime and blasting air con’s in office building should be illegal, I swear our’s only really works in Winter…TORTURE. My remedy for Winter 15 would definitely be The Poncho; it is the closest thing to snuggling up at my desk that I can get, and still look semi-sane. Bring on the Hot Chocolate and sniffles; I am ready for this(I hope)
Here are a few of my favourite Poncho finds(read more)

If you are a value shopper; make sure to pay Fashion Express stores a visit in the near future. Their new ad campaign has totally blown me away. There is a clear indication of key items for Winter ; the boxy top, the parka, the full skirt and the ankle boot all at extremely low prices. I am a proud FEX girl and am excited to see what they have planned in the winter months to come!

Autumn is slowly creeping in and I have found the strangest obsession with all things fatigue. I am on a hunt for an Olive Wool Coat amongst many other goodies that would most likely feature on my Wednesday wishlist.

Hollywood’s biggest night has come and gone. The 87th Academy Awards took place on the 22 February at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles. I know it is supposed to be a celebration of the best films of 2014, but The Oscar’s is as much about the fashion as they are about the cinema.
My Favourite gown would be the Elie Saab gown worn by Jennifer Lopez. Pure Perfection! Few of the other best dressed include Rosamund Pike, Emma Stone and Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

The Nolea; White Leather
This week’s wednesday wishlist would definately be Steve Madden‘s white heels. My personal favourite; the Iggy Azalea Collection as seen above. Boy am I dying to get my feet on a pair!

Another award ceremy to add to this list; The 57th Annual Grammy awards. The guest list consisiting of more muso’s than actors; hence the bigger risk takers. This year a big trend was definately the very sexy “cut out” dresses. My peronal favourite was Iggy Azalea in Armani Prive.

How beautiful is this Olive 2 piece from Topshop??!!! I cant believe I am saying this, but it makes me excited for Autumn/Winter 15. I have become so hooked on culottes lately, especially ones made in a heavy weight crepe, similar to this Topshop one. Let the Hunt begin…

I was so lucky to get my hands on last minute tickets to the J&B Met. Planning an outfit in just two days in an absolute nightmare. I was forced to settle with a more simple look, while others don the traditional OTT craze…

Next up in the awards season was the Screen Actors Guild Awards held on the 25 January. Not as popular as the Golden Globes or The Oscar’s, still reason enough for the most beautiful couture gowns.
My favourites would definately be Rosamund Pike and Emily Stone. Here are some more beauties…

I have found a new love for Deep House and the We Love Summer parties, hosted by Kinky Disco. We attended the We Love Summer Garden Party on the 24 January, held at the Solms Delta Wine Estate in Franshoek. The farm is an absolute treasure, with the most beautiful dam, filled with lily pads, miles and miles of Lush lawns and a little stream for cooling off in the crazy heat. The We Love Summer team have outdone themselves yet again. Perfect Venue, amazing Decor, giant splash pool and the greatest music.
Here a very few pics we had managed to take….

I’m so uber excited that it’s that time of the year again…January award season! I cant help but find myself glued to the tv ooh-ing and aah-ing at which designs the stars chose to wear each year; the first ceremony being the Golden Globes. Other than the obvious Black, there were pops of Cobalt and Canary. Many bold moves, by the likes of Rosamund Pike, Kate Hudson and Julia Goldani Telles all building up so much excitement for other ceremonies yet to come. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for The Academy Awards!
From Carolina Herrera to Zac Posen. Here are my personal favourites

Yay! Another birthday has come and gone. I was truly spoilt and pampered this year.
The mother treated me to a day at the Caledon Spa. We tried out the Rainspa treatment. Best I’ve ever had, I would definately recommend it to all you spa junkies. The package include a full body exfoliation, private sauna, private steam room, rain showers and a Blitz/Scotch shower. My favourite was the rain showers. The spa offers an array of treatments at extremely reasonable prices. Also, mineral pools, jacuzzi’s and a Victorian bath; a great day was had
I celebrate the Friday after my birthday with a close group of friends, tapas, cocktails and the most beautiful evening at Tjing Tjing Rooftop Cocktail Bar. I absolutely love this place. Perfect venue for a little “after work drink and catch up”; great Tapas menu and the best Cocktails in town. If you ever pay Tjing Tjing a visit, make sure to try the Cotton Candy Cocktail! Best!

Yay! A very Happy New year to all! I’ve never been one for New Years resolutions and the whole “New Year, New me game” . 2014 felt like a bit of a slump year; exhausting and emotionally draining. Work has been the most stressful (seriously!!), and I do not have too many “Great Memories” other than the obvious birthdays and times spent with the Bf and family. Hence I somehow feel obliged to set a few personal goals.
I want 2015 to be a year of change and to start new adventures.
Let’s see where this journey takes me…
My New Year Resolutions for 2015…

The hottest trend this summer would definitely be the Kimono, and I have got to admit that I developed the craziest obsession ! From selections of fabrications like woven viscose to sheer chiffon’s; they are exceptionally comfortable, and the easiest way to spice up any outfit. I have noticed that in most stores they are retailing at crazy high prices; and knowing how simple it is to make them, I have opted to do a little collection of my own.
It is as easy as this……

One of my all time favourite things to do over the summer holidays is to spend my days roaming the beautiful farms of Cape Winelands, from wine tasting, having a picnic or just an afternoon scenic drive. This is the best way to soak up some sun and spend some quality chill time with the friends and family.

|28 August 2014 • trendingWith Spring approaching I have developed a new obsession for pastels, especially the icy shade of Powder Blue. A very popular trend on The Spring 2014 Runway; as seen in ranges by Burberry, Prada and Jill Sander, Ice Blue is the hue to do this Spring.
